This post title is quite the mouthful but I wanted to get all the main points included. The table top is Ikea, the legs are mid century, I “did it myself”, and it qualifies as an Ikea hack.
Now that we’ve covered that…
When Nick first moved in, I knew we needed a coffee table upgrade from the little ottoman I made. I loved the legs on that ottoman and they were so easy to attach. Enter: Ikea, a little particleboard is all I needed.
This table was apart of the Ikea family sale when we got it, so it was a whopping $20. I already had the legs from my ottoman so what I’m telling you is, this coffee table cost us $20.
It’s pretty self explanatory but I can spell it out for you.
1. Buy Ikea Table
2. Buy mid-century legs and brackets
3. Stain legs to desired color
3. Drill brackets to table top
4. Screw legs into brackets
5. Store remainder of Ikea table in your storage closet for a project you haven’t thought of yet..
That about wraps it up! This table was a great temporary piece for us. We have a small living space that we use constantly, our coffee table is also our dining table (yeah we’re those people..). We needed something more sturdy and long lasting so we have a new coffee table now! It was also a do-it-yourselfer and I cant wait to share! Yep, thats a total of three coffee tables in one year, try not to judge too hard.

Like most fashion-inclined (
obsessed) people, finding the perfect outfit for every event is important. And “the perfect outfit” doesn’t mean fancy or dressed up by any means. My casual, just-rolled-out-of-bed look took me at least a half hour and I probably already had an outfit picked out. Are you going to be drinking beer on a boat all day? Will you be at a BBQ? Late night party poolside? All of these situations call for different outfits. Ergo-this post. I hope you grab some inspiration from these 4 outfits for your own 4th of July festivities!
I had the pleasure of meeting Kilee Nickels, owner and designer of Nickel and Suede, last week. What a talented gal. She and her husband just recently started Nickel and Suede, leather jewelry for women. If you have talked to me at all in the past week you’ve seen me sporting something of theirs and gushing about how much I love it. Support some talented people and get over to Nickel and Suede. (And that price you see, is real.)
Also, go buy this dress from target immediately.

It’s that time of year again, where you can grab one hanger out of your closet and be ready to walk out the door. That’s how I view rompers and jumpsuits – zero effort involved. I present you with my favorite 8 rompers/jumpsuits of the season. Did I miss any of your favorites? I’m always on the hunt. I LOVE them.
Hope you all had a fabulous long weekend! I sure did, if you follow my Instagram you know we made the trip to Ikea! The furniture is assembled and in place (in record time I must say …don’t be fooled, it was all Nick). Can’t wait to get a hold of some PANYL to really jazz it all up. Stay tuned :)
